Changed all of the Pokemon app art since this whole damn app was pretty much spat out quickly before, and the pokemon designs have been updated since I made this. I'll redo Surya's app, but I want to wait until I've done a bit more practice with anatomy stuffs.

Changed Surya's height to better suit his character (His picture will be changed to show this too).

Changed some of Surya's mannerisms- like calling Savitr 'Golden' and such.

Name: Surya
Age: 19
Height: 5'6"
Faction: Mages

History: Surya grew up in a somewhat large adoptive family and doesn't remember his biological family, as he was put into his parents' care as a baby. Despite being raised to be hard working and studious, he occasionally was a little troublemaker.

One of his older brothers trained and made an attempt to enter the Mage academy, but was turned away the once and didn't make another attempt. When Surya told him that he wanted to try too when he was a little older, he put one of his pokemon, Savitr, into his care to use.

After some time spent training with his brother, and capturing other Pokemon of his own, Surya made his way to the Academy to join the Mage academy wanting to do his part in speeding the upcoming civil war along.

Personality: Surya is quite outgoing and friendly to the people around him unless given a reason to behave otherwise. He gets attached and comfortable around people easily (he’s quick to consider someone a ‘friend), his speed of befriending coupled with his bursts of energy have made others uncomfortable in the past.

He is somewhat childish and naive, often having cases where he can’t take a situation as seriously as he should. Because of his strict mother, he is reflexively very obedient and respectful toward people significantly older than him, especially older women.
Despite giving his Pokemon full names, he often refers to them by shortened adaptations (e.g., calling Savitr ‘Savvy’).

NOTES:
-Surya is fairly novice when it comes to actual combat, but has a small degree of natural talent.
-Surya is afraid of the dark
-He does display signs of jealousy when it comes to other people with psychic ability
-Can be easily distracted by something he finds interesting

Pokemon

Savitr (Savvy): Savitr is the first Pokemon to be owned by Surya, knowing him even before that due to being owned by Surya's elder brother beforehand. Due to this, the two are very close. Savitr occasionally talks about zir's age, and the fact that zhe has been around for centuries, and has seen much. Zhe is incapable of sleeping, and only slips out of consciousness when zhis solar energy reserves are low.

Savitr behaves as a telepathic hub for the whole team, being able to instantaneously relay thoughts that are meant to reach another team member. He is also Surya's means of communicating with his Pokemon. Savitr's forte in battle is controlling the distance.

Hanuman (Hanu): Hanuman is the first Pokemon that Surya caught by himself, and was (at the time) weak and farily easy to capture. Personality wise, Hanuman can be seen as an even worse version of Surya, being more eager to battle and more mischevious.

Hanuman's forte in battle is using his speed to deliver a flurry of rapid, punishing attacks.

Sarama (Rama): Sarama is the most recent addition to Surya's team. She's quite proud and stubborn, and will often be quick to berate Surya if he's being stupid. She does care deeply for the rest of the team, however, but prefers not to openly show this.

Sarama's forte in battle is much like Hanuman's, but more controlled. She is the tactical fighter.

People who follow me might also remember that I have a non-Pokemon OC called Surya. Well, they're basically the same guy- Well, personality wise anyway.

I didn't want to go through the motions of working on a brand new character so I thought that using Surya for this would be pretty efficient. This way, I get to work on his personality, and I get used to drawing him more. (Even though they have different hair, shh...)
